Run It Once Poker closed down on January 3rd

RIO poker stopped working

On the eve of the New Year 2022, the popular poker player from the USA Phil Galfond announced on his Twitter that in early January the well-known poker room Run It Once Poker, the creator of which he is, will cease its work.

One of the main reasons for the closure of RIO Poker was the loss of players' interest in the poker room. In particular, after the launch of SNG Select, the poker room still failed to increase its traffic to the expected values.

Galfond also ended his challenges, which were very popular among the poker community, and this also partially reduced the interest of players in RIO Poker.

Thus, on the 3rd of January the poker room stopped its work. Players can withdraw their funds until the beginning of April, and by the end of today, all players will receive their payments on various promotions.

Also, over the last week of the game, poker players will receive 45% rakeback, which replaced weekly payments. In addition, players will receive all bonuses for the first deposit, even for those that have not been cleared up.

At the same time, Galfond promises to restart the room someday, however, in collaboration with one of the tribal casinos in the United States. Thus, the poker room will enter the legal American gambling market.
