The second game day of WPT Shooting Stars at PartyPoker took place on July 30. Mikita Badziakouski eliminated from the event at the very beginning of the second day. There were no well-known poker players at the WPT Shooting Stars final table, except for Sam Trickett. The guy was a favorite of the event, but he lacked a bit of luck as busted in sixth place after losing a hand to the future tournament winner Timo Kamphues. Sam’s payout amounted to $15 800.
In the final heads-up, Kamphues fought for victory against Nikita Kupchin. The last had a short stack, and luck was all he could hope for. Kupchin eventually ended up the tournament as a runner-up, earning an impressive prize of $64 400.
The German regular Timo Kamphues turned out to be a WPT Shooting Stars champion. For taking the first place, Kamphues received $90 500 in prize money.
