Seb Crane Triumphs in GUKPT Luton Main Event
The winner of the main event in the GUKPT Luton series has been announced, and it is the British Seb Crane. The tournament attracted quite a large number of participants compared to previous years, 284 registrations. Each paid a £1,250 buy-in for participation, which ultimately amounted to a total prize pool of almost 300 thousand.
There were 8 male poker players at the final table, and only one Katie Swift represented the women in the game. It is worth mentioning Luke Porter, who was aiming to win the second title of this prestigious poker tour – after he was lucky in London in January. However, his result here was only fourth place.
One by one, 6 players left the game, and it came to the most interesting part of the tournament – heads-up.

Crane entered the final confrontation with a big advantage, but Katie had a lot of fans. If she had won, it would have been a historic victory: no woman had ever achieved this in the GUKPT Main Event.
But in the end Seb Crane was crowned champion, receiving a massive £66,000. Katie was again the runner-up, as she had been in 2015. Her consolation prize was £49,300.
"She is a much better heads-up player than I am. She played really well", Seb commented his opponent's game.
