Skrill and Neteller changed verification procedure and commission fee

Skrill and Neteller are one of the most common payment methods among poker players.

Effective April 8, these platforms decreased the fee for the first and all subsequent transactions for new users, as well as slightly changed the verification procedure.

Now, it’s prohibited to upload photos taken beforehand to confirm personal data. New users of these payment systems are required to take photos on a smartphone or webcam in real-time, directly when passing the verification procedure.

Also, the commission fee for the first money transfer is now equal to 4.49%, without any restrictions on the amount of money, and for all subsequent transactions, the commission will be 1.45%.

However, the following transfers will not be considered as the first deposit: from Skrill to Neteller; from Neteller to Skrill, Qiwi and Neosurf (on the Neteller platform) and Bitpay and Paysafecard (on the Skrill platform).

These changes will only affect new customers of the given platforms. For all other users, everything will remain the same.

Most likely, such changes are caused by the fact that the Skrill and Neteller representatives are trying to reduce fraud associated with remittance services and multi-accounting.
