Soverel won British Poker Open event for the second time

American player Sam Soverel has become the winner at the British Poker Open (BPO) for the second time. The other day, he managed to capture the Event # 8 with a £25 000buy-in. For winning the event, the player received £227 500 in prize money.

In addition to winning two tournaments, Soverel got into the cash at the given series three times. Currently, the American tops the British Poker Open leaderboard. His total prize money is equal to £788 700.

In heads-up, the future winner played against American Steve O'Dwyer. The last hit the top pair with K-9 on the turn, and Soverel collected two pair, kings and queens. Both players shoved their chips to the center of the table, and Sam won the battle after a blank appeared on the river.

O'Dwyer received £97 500 for finishing second. He is now in the fourth place on the leaderboard, and at the BPO 2019, he has already won £170 300.

At the final table of Event # 8, the game lasted for 13 hours. Such famous players as Sam Greenwood, Cary Katz and Stephen Chidwick became the finalists as well. But the victory went to Sam Soverel.
