Stars Group merged with Flutter Entertainment
Some days ago, two giants of gambling industry Stars Group and Flutter Entertainment merged. After the deal, Flutter began to own 54% of the shares, and Stars Group has only 46% in an asset.
This actually means a change of PokerStars ownership, but it is not yet known whether it will lead to changes in PokerStars policy. Flutter CEO Peter Jackson informed about increase of company’s shares by 15% right after the news about merging.
Peter also added that a new monster of gambling industry will soon grow up, and it will penetrate into the American gambling market. American sports betting market and the development of mobile betting will be its main focus.
If to take staff changes into account, it is already known that Rafi Ashkenazi will hold the post of Chief Operating Officer. The information about other staff changes is not yet available.
