Stephen Chidwick wins $442 000 in the GG Spring Super High Roller

Stephen Chidwick 2021

Another high-stakes champion has been determined at the GG Spring Festival 2021. Not surprisingly, it was a renowned poker pro instead of an amateur player.

When the tournament began, there were only 18 poker players in the game, however, that number has more than tripled in the first three levels of the game. By level 17, the event recorded a sufficient number of registrations to beat the claimed guarantee. Thus, the top 13 players that entered the ITM zone shared the generated prize pool of $2 400 000.

In the top 4, Mikita Badziakouski was the only player without a WSOP bracelet, since Chidwick, Dvoress and Petrangelo have already gained such awards. To note, Badziakouski showed a great level of skills, as he managed to knock two players out of the final table. But Mikita didn’t manage to take down the event: the high roller was eliminated from the tournament by the future champion Stephen Chidwick, who collected a flush on the river in that hand. As a result, Badziakouski earned $254 000 for fourth place.

After that, three finalists remained in the game: Chidwick, Dvoress, and Petrangelo. They paused the tournament to make a deal and agreed to split the prize money into three parts. The players decided that Chidwick would get the biggest portion to become a champion and hence, the event would end automatically.
