Steve O’Dwyer became a runner-up of ME High Roller Club

On 7 June, High Roller Club series started at PartyPoker. From now on, at least six tournaments with the buy-ins from $530 to $25 500 will be held every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The most successful players of series will fight for the victory in common leaderboard. 15 poker players will share a prize pool of $100 000 on 16 July.

One of the first tournaments of given series finished, and Steve O’Dwyer managed to become a runner-up of event. He demonstrated a good result in the prestigious ME tournament with $25 500 buy-in. 50 poker players beat $1 000 000 guarantee by more than $250 000.

The tournament with such an expensive buy-in included the corresponding professional participants. The strongest players of given tournament reached the final table, and everyone wanted to become a winner.

However, only one poker pro was able to achieve the goal: Wiktor Malinowski. Nevertheless, let's review the results of final table. Matthias Eibinger was the first to leave the game, and he got the minimum payout of $53 000.

Super high roller Justin Bonomo also didn’t stay long in this tournament. He took the sixth place and $62 000 of prize money. He was followed by Nick Schulman who finished fifth and earned $81 000.

At that stage, the five-digit payments ended, and next it was the turn of six-digit prizes. The first six-figure prize was given to Matthew Wood for the fourth place.

Steve O’Dwyer, Wiktor Malinowski and Giuseppe Iadisernia entered the top 3 of tournament. Giuseppe is known for his victory at PCA Super High Roller tournament 2 years ago, and he ranks second in the list of Venezuelan most profitable players.

This time, Iadisernia finished third and gave the opportunity for Malinowski and O’Dwyer to decide the fate of winner. In the last hand of tournament, poker players went all-in: O’Dwyer with A-J and Malinowski with a pair of eights.

After the flop, Wiktor's eights turned into a full house, which allowed him to beat Steve O’Dwyer. As a result, O’Dwyer became a runner-up of event and earned $296 000. The winner increased his bankroll by $443 000.
