The list of potential candidates for Poker Hall of Fame is known

Poker Hall of Fame 2019

World Series of Poker announced 10 finalists for Poker Hall of Fame. However 9 applicants out of 10 have already been nominated and only one of them first appeared in this list – it is Antonio Esfandiari.

He turned 40 years old only in December and it was the main reason why he didn’t pretend to this place earlier.

The necessary criteria for becoming a member of PHoF are as follows:

  • A player must have played poker against acknowledged top competition
  • Be a minimum of 40 years old at time of nomination
  • Played for high stakes
  • Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
  • Stood the test of time
  • Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.
