On Sunday, the legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant died as a result of helicopter crash. This news overshadowed not only the basketball fans, but also the poker players.

Kobe played for LA Lakers team for 20 years, and he never changed this club. By the end of his career, Kobe was the third by the number of points scored: 33 643.

Kobe often appeared in TV poker shows, such as High Stakes Poker. The basketball player also played cash games in Southern California, and he was invited to take part in WSOP tournament in 2013 in memory of Lakers’ owner Jerry Buss.   

Bryant wasn’t able to participate in this event due to an injury, but he said the phrase “shuffle up and deal” before the start of 7-Card Stud event. This type of poker was the favorite one in Buss’ life.
