Timothy Adams won the most expensive event at MILLIONS SHR Sochi
The Super High Roller Bowl Russia for $250 000, which is the most expensive tournament on the MLLIONS Super High Roller Sochi schedule, has ended. The event collected 40 entries, and this helped to form the prize pool of $10 000 000. However, only 6 players received the payouts.
The winner of the tournament was the Canadian poker player and WSOP bracelet holder Timothy Adams, who received $3 600 000 for the first place. This winning is his largest prize money in the entire poker career.
Christoph Vogelsang from Germany turned out to be the runner-up of the event. His payout amounted to $2 400 000. The third place and prize money of $1 600 000 went to the Belarusian poker professional Mikita Badziakouski.
The given series is quite successful for Badziakouski, because earlier he took down the $51 000 No Limit Hold'em event, having added another $765 000 to his earnings.

The real action began when four players left at the final table. The tournament chip leader changed almost every 10 minutes.
The fierce struggle lasted 3 hours, until Ben Heath shoved with Q♠-6♠ from the small blind against Timothy’s A♠-2♦. The following cards appeared on the board: J♠-10♦-9♣-9♦-5♣, and Ben eliminated from the tournament in the fourth place with the straight draw.
Following Heath, Mikita Badziakouski left the event. The Belarusian called Vogelsang’s all-in with A♣-Q♥ (against J♥-3♥). The 3♠-J♠-9♠ flop came out on the board, meaning that Vogelsang collected two pairs. The turn and river didn’t change the situation, and Badziakouski busted out of the tournament in the third place.
The heads-up lasted two levels. Both players were exhausted, and it was a big responsibility, since large prize money was at stake.

Vogelsang, in turn, suggested raising the blinds if the game would be protracted for too long.
In the last hand of the tournament, Adams called the blinds, and Vogelsang pushed with A♣-6♦ (from BB) against A♥-9♠. The 5♠-2♦-10♥-J♥-9♦ board ensured Timothy’s victory in this event.
Timothy Adams is the first player in poker history to win the Super High Roller Bowl twice. He was able to take down the similar tournament in Australia in early February 2020, having earned $1 449 000 in prize money.
