Tony G secures second win at the Super High Roller Bowl

Tony G 2021

Tony G took down his second tournament (in 4 days) at the Super High Roller Bowl. This time, his prize money amounted to $1 169 000, making it the current largest payout in the poker player's career. We also recall that Tony won the $25 000 SHRB Europe tournament last week.

The 7th scheduled Super High Roller Bowl event with a $100 000 buy-in attracted 26 entrants, and thus a $2 600 000 prize pool was formed. The best 4 players shared the money between themselves.

It was Tony G to eliminate the first final table player from the game. His AK turned out to be stronger than pocket queens of Santi Jiang, who finished his participation in fourth place.

The next to leave the tournament was Danny Tang. The player won $416 000 for third place, leaving Paul Phua to play heads-up with Tony G.

In the last hand of the event, Paul Phua moved all-in with pocket aces in the hope of doubling his chips. But G hit a flush on the river, as he had AKs, and then went to celebrate his victory.

  2. Paul Phua – $728 000
  3. Danny Tang – $416 000
