Where to play live poker: King's Casino will host 5 summer series

King's Casino 2020

In early May, King's Casino in Rozvadov reopened its doors to visitors upon completion of the quarantine period. However, most players got disappointed, as tournament poker was still unavailable in the casino.

Time passed, and the situation has clearly changed. Conducting live tournament series is a pressing issue, because people have been facing lots of restrictions based on the epidemic. It is hard to tell which series is currently taking place offline, since almost all events have been forced to move online.

But there is good news from the King's Casino. Their summer schedule includes 5 live tournament series with a total guarantee of €1 200 000.

For the time being, players from the following countries are allowed to enter the Czech Republic: Netherlands, France, Poland, Austria, Italy, Germany and Hungary. This list will be expanded as time goes on, provided that the number of newly infected people decrease. Let's see what series await us.

PLO High Roller & Invitational Tournament

The first live events at King's Casino will be the PLO High Roller and the special Invitational Tournament. Buy-in of the high roller tourney is €2 500, and it will be held for two days – June 20-21. A few famous poker players have already confirmed participation in this PLO event, including Besim Hot, the WSOPE 2019 champion.

The Invitational Tournament is to take place on June 19. The entry fee is equal to €5 000, and only invited players are eligible to play in this tourney.

Balkan Poker Circuit

Balkan Poker Circuit marks the beginning of summer series at King's Casino. The given live series will be held from July 2 to 6, and its total guarantee will amount to €200 000.

One can play the Main Event by paying a buy-in of €150 for participation. Also, there will be 2 tourneys worth €115 (each) with the similar guarantees of €8 000 held as part of the series. The prize pools of these events include two WSOPE tickets, meaning this series will be carried out offline.

Bounty Hunter Days

Three days after the completion of the Balkan Poker Circuit, the casino will kick off a new series called the Bounty Hunter Days. It will last only 3 days, ending on July 12.

In total, €100 000 in cash and a ticket to the WSOP Europe will be raffled during the series. Poker players wishing to take part in the Main Event will have to pay an entry fee of €115. Besides, the series schedule has a few events with guarantees equal to thousands of euros.

Benelux Classics

From 16 to 20 July, King's Casino will host another poker series under the name Benelux Classics. The Main Event guarantee is to be €200 000, but there will be also tournaments with €20 000 GTD and €10 000 GTD.

German Poker Tour

The German Poker Tour Main Event will grant guarantee equal to €200 000. This poker festival will take place from 23 to 27 July. There will be 4 flights in the event for 220 euros.

Deutsche Poker Tour

The Deutsche Poker Tour will be the final series on the list of summer festivals, running July 30 through August 2. Participation in the Main Event will cost €150, and poker players will fight for their share of the €200 000 guaranteed prize pool.

It’s also worth noting the Omaha event with a €5 000 guarantee and the Closer tournament with €8 000 GTD.

As you can see, prize money in the tournaments is quite modest, but most players have been looking forward to paly offline. If the situation permits, King’s Casino may become a place of pilgrimage for European poker players.

I’ve been working in the Cardmates team since 2018. Started playing poker the same way most people usually do – socially, with friends and fellow students. I adored those exciting poker nights but never thought my life would be connected with this game, even tangentially.
