Stoyan Madanzhiev became the champion of WSOP 2020 Online Main Event and he won nearly $4 million. This is a phenomenal result, but what do we know about new champion (besides the fact that he is Bulgarian and very excited about his victory)?
So far, little is known about Stoyan Madanzhiev. On his Instagram, he describes himself as "a free soul, poker pro, traveler". Stoyan cannot be called an active Instagram user, despite the fact that he periodically writes the short stories about his poker games, he has only 22 photos on his page and the last photo is dated February 2020. However, this may soon change… Because on 6 September in the morning he had 680 subscribers, but then, by the lunchtime, the number of his subscribers increased to 780.

Stoyan Madanzhiev's success in poker
The Bulgarian player Stoyan Madanzhiev has been playing poker for over 13 years and according to his words, he still has a passion for this game. Nevertheless, we can only assess his results in tournament poker, because his statistics in cash games and spins have never been shown and it remains a mystery.
According to thehendonmob data, Stoyan Madanzhiev's success in the live tournaments is quite modest. His total prize money is slightly over $31 000. As for financial terms, the player’s best result is $10 800 for the 14th place in Merit Poker Western Tournament Main Event for $2 200. Speaking of trophies, the Bulgarian player has one of them. In October 2019, Stoyan won Short Deck Hold'em tournament for €225 that was held as part of Battle of Malta 2019 series. The victory brought him €3 140 (about $3 500). In the final heads-up, he played against his friend and compatriot Hristo Bogdanov. These guys were the only Bulgarians in the tournament and they took the best places.
Stoyan Madanzhiev plays online under the nickname "S Georgiev" at PokerStars. Unfortunately, his nicknames in the other rooms are unknown. According to pokerprolabs data, he won a little over $50 000 in PokerStars online tournaments. The guy's best results: the 8th place in SCOOP-39-M: $215 NL Hold'em [6-Max] 2012 that brought him $10 980, and 10th place in SCOOP 32-M: $ 530 NLHE [8- Max, Sunday Million SE] in 2019 with $10 320 of prize money.
The player shared information on his social networks that he played WCOOP 2018 high roller tournament for $25 000 and he had at least one spin with $60 000 prize pool. However, the luck was not on his side in any of these cases.
But nothing compares to his victory at WSOP Online 2020 Main Event. Becoming a WSOP Main Event champion, Stoyan Madanzhiev won not only $3.9 million and a gold bracelet, he also wrote his name in the history as a winner of the first WSOP ME online. In addition, he became the owner of the biggest prize money in online poker.
