WSOP organizers reacted to possible postponement of series due to coronavirus

The coronavirus outbreak continues to attack the poker community. Previously it became known that the organizers of Triton Poker Series decided to postpone the beginning of the first stage of championship in 2020. 

Now, the poker community is talking about the possible postponement of WSOP series 2020, which should be held from May 26 to July 15. The participants of TwoPlusTwo forum made an assumption about possible holding of series online. One of the users said that he would refuse to participate in WSOP 2020 because of the fear of coronavirus.

All rumors about possible postponement of championship were dispelled by WSOP Vice President Seth Palansky. He stated that World Series would start on May 26, as it was previously planned. According to his words, WSOP organizers came to such a decision after the consultation with experts.  

At the moment, there is no exact schedule for World Series in 2020. But it is known that 61 bracelets will be raffled at WSOP 2020.
